3% of a booking. Nothing else.

That is the whole published price list — 3% of each paid, completed booking, never more than R165 (US$10) on a single booking. No subscription, no setup or onboarding fee, no integration fee, and no per-seat charge. Your first 14 days carry no fee at all, and no card is needed to start. Guest booking and South African payment rails are coming for pilot; the fee is published now so it cannot move in silence. Referral-only agents and concierges stay on a free plan: they can share links and QR payloads, and they do not get the pay run or the full operations suite.

What counts as a billable booking

A booking is billed only when it is both paid and completed.

Paid
Payment into your own merchant account is confirmed — by a provider webhook or a reconciled statement, once those rails are connected. Yoco, Paystack and PayFast on your own account are coming for pilot, not live today. For an OTA booking, when OTA sync ships, the OTA's payout report is the confirmation. OTA sync is not live today.
Completed
The session is marked completed and its undo window has closed. A live booking manifest that auto-completes at day end is part of the booking stretch — coming for pilot, not the public product today. The weekly pay run already drafts from completed sessions.
Not billed, ever
Cancelled, refunded, no-show and weather-held bookings, and anything that is not both paid and completed. A refund after billing appears as a reversal on the next invoice.
Booking value
The booking total in the ledger, net of refunds and excluding VAT. Direct, agent, office, walk-up and OTA-sourced bookings are charged at the same published rate — no channel costs you more for the way it arrived — once that channel is billed. Guest checkout and OTA sync are not live today.

What it comes to

The rate is 3% on every ticket up to R5 500. Above that the fee on that booking stops at R165 and the effective rate falls, because a percentage of a large booking would be out of proportion to the work involved.

A worked month. 55 paid, completed bookings at R1 750 each is R96 250 of booking value. The fee is 55 × R52.50 = R2 887.50, invoiced the following month. In your first 14 days it is R0.

How that compares

The all-in cost per booking at one reference volume, including any subscription. Booking fees are this market's loudest complaint, so the comparison is published rather than alluded to.

  1. FareHarbor 6.0–8.0%
  2. Peek Prounverified 6.0–8.0%
  3. Xola ~6.0%
  4. Bókun Premium 5.2%
  5. Rezdy Expansion 5.1%
  6. TrekkSoft Accelerate 3.9%
  7. Checkfront 3.8%
  8. Rezdy Foundation 3.4%
  9. AdventureOS 3.0%

All-in cost per booking at one reference volume — 200 bookings a month at US$60 — with any subscription spread across them. Our reading of each vendor’s published pricing as at September 2026. Card processing is excluded for every vendor. Bókun and Checkfront charge nothing on OTA-sourced and offline bookings; AdventureOS charges the same published rate on every channel once those channels are billed. OTA sync and a live booking page are not live today.

Invoicing and pass-through costs

Invoicing
Weekly in arrears, one line per billed booking, so every charge names the booking it came from. Billed in your own currency. Weekly because that is the rhythm you already run on — guides and referral agents are paid weekly, and a single monthly bill arrives out of step with the money you have.
Pass-through only
Two optional things are billed to you by their own providers at their own prices, with no margin added by us: WhatsApp messaging on your own Meta account, and TimelinesAI seats on your own subscription.
We never hold your guests' money
AdventureOS never holds guest funds. Connecting your own merchant account is coming for pilot. When those rails ship, guests pay you and we invoice only our fee.
